If you're planning a trip to Split, Croatia for summer 2025, here are my top recommendations for things to do in Split. Whether you enjoy day parties, chill morning walks, island hopping, or connecting with other travellers, here you will find the best spots you need to know to have the perfect holiday in Split.
My name is Nicola Ffrench, originally from Ireland but now living in this amazing city. I first came as tourist 3 years ago in 2022 with a group of friends. Straight away I knew I wanted to spend my summers in Croatia so I went on a quest and tried everything I could, including all the boat parties. From the original Boat Party Split, to Captains Boat Party and Out to Sea Split Boat Party. I completely fell in love with everything at Boat Party Split, from the boat to the vibe and the staff, so I decided to ask for a job and here I am a couple years later writing this blog about my favourite things to do in my absolutely favourite town and home away from home in the south of Europe.
1. Beach Day at Kasjuni Beach, the Best Beach in Split

Beautiful beach located at the base of Marjan Hill
Crystal clear water, pebble beach and a peaceful vibe, it's the best place for swimming and sunbathing
Insane views surrounded by cliffs and pine trees, a great place for a photo opportunity

Local tip: Get an Uber for around €6 from Split, the Riva (main street), take the bus #12 near the big fountain on the Riva or walk 30 minutes. In peak summer go early in the morning to get the best spot. Bring water shoes, snacks (emphasis on the snacks, as there are no shops nearby) and stay for sunset. The sunsets in Split are unmatched.
Bonus: Go to Joe’s Beach Club for cocktails, good music, and all around great beach club vibes. It is a bit pricey but the vibes are good.
2. Go on the Best Boat Party in Europe - Boat Party Split

Split is famous for its boat parties and boat tours
Boat Party Split is the original one, so they are partnered with the best venues in the city
The boat has a big inflatable slide and a couple water mats which make it extra fun
Visit the Blue Lagoon for a fraction of the price of most boat tours in Split
The resident DJs play house, r&b, throwbacks, a bit of afro and feel good tunes all day long
This is the best place to meet other travellers from all over the world, both the guests and the staff
The boat has a kitchen serving fries and nuggets so it's really handy if you get hungry
There are animators on board which make the whole trip so much fun
When I first came to Split in 2022, it was the highlight of my holiday. I started out as a guest, then became a promoter, bartender, and now I’m the executive assistant. Every year it has only gotten better and better!

Buy your ticket at Split Boat Party. Trust me, you don’t want FOMO on this one. Don't wait to book, in peak season we sell out fast!!!
3. Best Viewpoint in Split: Marjan Hill & Marjan Park Viewpoint

Watch the sunset and see the best views of Split.
Marjan Hill: 13 minute walk from Split, Riva.
Marjan Parkview Point: 30 minute walk from Split, Riva.
