Split Boat Party for Stag and Hen Groups: Planning Checklist

Organising a group trip can be a pretty thankless task. So here is the checklist we would use, written by the people who watch hundreds of stag and hen groups come through check-in every summer.

Follow it for the smoothest group trip of your life.

Three Months Out

Lock the date first, everything else second. Peak season is June through August and the parties fill several days in advance. Do not build a weekend around a boat party you have not booked yet.

Get a real headcount. Not a group chat guess. Ask for a deposit from each person. People commit differently once money moves.

Decide shared boat or private. A shared party is more fun for most groups. You meet other people, the atmosphere is bigger, and it is far cheaper. Private makes sense for large groups who want the boat to themselves and a more relaxed day. We do private boat rentals you can inquire about if you're looking for something more chill .

One Month Out

Book the boat party. Day tickets from €40, night party at €20. Book direct with us, not through a reseller. Same boat, higher price, and if something changes you are dealing with a middleman instead of the people running the trip.

Understand the cancellation terms before someone drops out. Seven or more days' notice gets 100% back minus a €5 banking fee. Inside 72 hours drops to 50% minus €5. Under 72 hours there is no refund. Changes are free but subject to availability. Tell your group this in writing now, not on the day.

Book accommodation near the meeting point. Check in is at Obala kneza Domagoja 1, a short walk from the old town. Staying within 15 minutes on foot removes an entire category of problems.

One Week Out

Send one message with everything in it. Date, 13:00 check in, the exact address, what to bring, card only at the bars, no outside drinks, and that the boat leaves at 14:00 with or without stragglers.

Sort the outfits. Matching shirts, matching swim shorts, matching anything. It is a cliche because it works. It also makes your group findable on a boat with up to 400 people.

Check the age policy and any accessibility needs with us directly. Quick message, sorted in minutes will confirm if the boat is accessible for every member of your group.

The day itself

  • Eat lunch before check in. Five hours at sea starting at 14:00 on an empty stomach is a rookie error. There is an onboard kitchen too, use it.

  • Pre-book an Uber or Bolt. If you are not staying within walking distance pre-book an Uber or Bolt. They will be the most affordable options, and with so many people calling them you don’t want to miss the party because you can’t get a car.

  • Arrive at 13:00, not 13:44. Check in runs to 13:45 but you don’t want to be rushing there at the last minute. Plan to arrive at 13:00 to avoid stress.

  • Nominate one person who stays reasonably sensible. Every group needs one. Rotate the duty if it is a long weekend.

  • Use the luggage storage if you are checking out. Small fee, saves the day.

  • Set a meeting spot on the boat. Bottom deck bar, top deck stern, whatever. Phones die, boats are loud.

After the boat

We are back in port at 19:00. Your wristband gets the whole group into the club, with entry between 23:30 and 01:00. That four hour gap is your window for dinner and a shower. Book the restaurant in advance, because 20 people trying to find a table in Split at 20:00 in July does not end well.

If your group would rather keep the momentum, the night party is the other option. Check-in 19:30, departs 20:30, back at 23:30, then our guides walk you straight to the club.
